Working principles

How Vulcan approaches consultancy

Evidence over assumption

If an assessment depends on information that is not available, the gap is recorded rather than guessed.

Proportionate detail

Low-complexity sites do not need industrial-process reports. Complex hazards do not get reduced to generic checklists.

Defined competence

Work is accepted where the scope falls within demonstrated competence, and specialist boundaries are stated.

Practical actions

Recommendations are written so clients can understand what needs doing and why.

Direct communication

Clients deal with the assessor responsible for the site visit and report.

Consistent documentation

Where multiple assessments overlap, findings are aligned so one document does not contradict another.
